Charities & Philanthropy Research

Irish consumers donate some €500 million to charity every year. Amárach's research points to the growing importance of charities and philanthropy in terms of consumer motivations and corporate social responsibility.

Amárach has published a number of studies on charity in Ireland – including ‘Good Intentions' and ‘Good Citizens': both available free from our reports and studies section on this web site.

Amárach works with charities and philanthropists seeking to better understand the needs and motivations of donors and of the recipients of charity. Recent commissioned studies , for example, have addressed subjects as diverse as:

  • Encouraging tax efficient donation by donors.
  • Communicating the benefits of including charities in wills.
  • The employee impact of corporate involvement in charities.
  • The effectiveness of brand and communications activities by charities on giving.
  • Consumer preferences for different types of charities.

Amárach applies its full range of research methodologies – including focus groups , surveys, economic analysis and forecasting – to support charities to be more effective in achieving their strategic goals and ambitions.
